Something I Like

I like tofu. I like it marinated in red wine, and grilled.

  4. If you try a red wine marinade, use a drier red like a cabernet sauvignon. From experience, something sweeter will overpower.

  8. Betty, thanks for the kind words! The wine marinade (1 glass red wine, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons soy sauce, a few cloves of crushed garlic and spice) mostly just gives it a wine flavor, but doesn’t taste of alcohol. Though it does depend on how strong the wine you use is! I tried this recipe with a Shiraz, and it didn’t work as well.

    I love tofu but sauteed in olive oil with garlic and chili powders gets a little repetitive.

    …and just so happens I have a bottle of cab sav waiting to be popped open!
