  3. I got a big chuckle from this – great photo.

    My husband got into kettlebells about 6 months ago. He’s seeing all the usual benefits – stronger, more muscle tone, less flab, more stamina, more energy, all that good stuff.

    There’s also a benefit that I really hadn’t expected: this guy who grew up believing that a hamburger is the perfect food, this guy whom I’ve been trying to get to eat more vegetables practically since we met — this guy is now saying things like, “You know, I’ve been googling and have been finding that the old-time strongmen like Eugen Sandow were almost all vegetarians. Huh. Hey, honey, let’s eat more vegetarian, okay? This whole meat-eating thing… no, the reasons people give for it really are bogus.”

    I managed not to fall off my chair in shock, and instead smiled broadly and said “Sure, sweetie, glad to!”
