Simple Pasta Arrabiatta
Last night’s dinner was pasta arrabiatta with a spinach salad. Here’s the recipe I used:
Simple Pasta Arrabiatta
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 28oz can of diced tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 1-2 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 lb pasta
- parsley for garnish
Directions:
- Heat the oil in a medium saucepan, and saute the garlic over medium-high heat for about 6 minutes, or until golden
- Add the tomatoes (with juice), salt, pepper, and the pepper flakes. Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue cooking until tomatoes are soft and the sauce is thick, about 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
- Remove from heat, check for taste add more salt if needed.
- Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the box.
- Drain the pasta and put into large serving bowl. Pour the sauce in, and mix everything together.
- Serve right away, garnished with chopped celery.

This looks so good!

thank you for sharing yr wonderfully simple pasta sauce recipe. i tend to go over board with my sauces adding red wine and too many dried or fresh herbs. while my sauces are good, sometimes i crave simple flavors and this looks PERFECT!
